New Zealand Child Restraints Laws
New Zealand law requires young children to travel in approved child restraints appropriate for their age and size.
According to the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi:
• Children under 7 must be secured in an approved child restraint
• Children aged 7 must use a restraint if one is available
• If travelling in a taxi without a restraint available, the child must use a seatbelt if available and sit in the rear seat

The fare quote includes the charges for booking with car seats, depending on which car seat you book.
Yes. Customers are welcome to bring their own seats if preferred. Just remember to mention this while making the booking.
We cannot guarantee availability without advance notice. However, if the booking is made within 24 hrs, please consult us before the booking time to discuss your options.
New Zealand law requires children under 7 to use a child restraint where available. However taxis are permitted to carry children without restraints if none are available, though safety restraints are strongly recommended.
